My name is Dr. Peter Gaffney and I'm a psychiatrist practicing in Sacramento. My practice is devoted exclusively to individual adult psychotherapy and some psychoanalysis, although I do sometimes prescribe psychiatric medications if they are needed in the course of the treatment.
I decided to create this web site because I had become aware that there are not that many psychiatrist therapists in the Sacramento area and most of them are not taking new patients. I know there are many people who would like psychotherapy from a psychiatrist but have no good way of finding a therapist who can see them. So the purpose of this page is to provide a way for patients and myself to find out about and connect with each other.
